December 2025

Starting this month, we will no longer be writing the diary like blog posts.  Since we have stopped our full-time travels, we spend the majority of our time here at the Pair-A-Dice Escapees Co-op RV park.  We have a nice log, a lot of friends, and activities.  However, as we have become "homebodies" here I no longer want to do the each and everyday style of blog.  Instead, I will be posting a monthly summary highlighting any interesting or memorable activities or events.

December 2025

We spent the majority of this month in the park doing our regular activities.  Jackie plays Pokeno most Wednesday afternoons and I play guitar with my jam group.  As the Vice President of the Co-op Board of Directors, I had several meetings during the month.

We did go to a Christmas cookie exchange and gift exchange game on Christmas Eve.  It was a lot of fun.  The park did have a "holiday dinner" on Christmas day, but we chose to stay home and have our own Christmas celebration.  We had a nice turkey dinner with just the two of us.  The Saturday after Christmas a number of individuals in the park who were not happy with Christmas Dinner being changed to Holiday Dinner hosted another Christmas party where they served donated turkey and ham and the rest of the dinner was potluck.  We did go to that one and had a good time.  On Monday, the 29th, we drove to Long Beach to stay at the Cove Inn.  The next day we boarded the Emerald Princess cruise ship for a ten-day New Years trip to Mexico.  Our friends from the Co-op, the Linda and Jim Sullivan, were also on the trip.  The cruise had a two day stop in Cabo San Lucas, a stop in Puerto Vallarta, a stop in La Paz, and another in Loretto.  We have been to Cabo and Puerto Vallarta many times, but his was our first visit to La Paz and Loreto, which are both on the Baja California peninsula on the Sea of Cortez.  We had a fun trip, however, the last two nights on the trip Jackie started displaying symptoms of a cold.  However, the majority of trip was in January 2026, so we will save the details for what happened after the trip for next month.
